This position must be able to complete drafting projects, ALTA surveys, subdivision plats, topographic surveys, permit plats, building layouts, and preparing block sheets for construction staking services while working under the direct supervision of a Texas Registered Professional Land

Accountability and Duties:

• Ensures timesheets are submitted accurately and on time.
• Provides an accurate accounting of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time entry daily.
• Keeps supervisors informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional services.
• Maintains a good relationship with clients and staff.
• Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
• Responsible for timely completion of drafting projects
• Accurately Completes survey calculations
• Accurately completes ALTA or TSPS Category 1A Title Surveys under the direct supervision of a Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor
• Accurately completes easement boundary surveys
• Accurately completes topographic surveys with under the direct supervision of a Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor
• Accurately completes Meets & Bounds legal descriptions

Qualifications

1-4 years of CAD Education (AutoCAD Civil 3D or CARLSON preferred)

0-4 years of Field Experience (Knowledge of survey preferred)

Prefer Associates/Bachelor Degree

High school diploma and/or CAD Tech education

Valid driver’s license

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Available to work overtime as needed to complete projects.
• Available to occasionally work in the field performing surveying tasks.
• Knowledge of industry related software.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D or CARLSON.
• Desire to learn and improve CAD skills and survey knowledge.
• Must be fluent in the English language.

Physical Demands

Normal office environment. Must hear well enough to communicate with coworkers. While performing the duties of this job in the field, the employee is required to stand/walk, climb/stoop/kneel, lift/pull/push, grasp/feel. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
