Job Title: EPIC Interface Analyst – Remote

Compensation

• Local Pay Rate: $35/hour (W2)
• Traveler Pay Rate: $42/hour (W2)

Position Summary

The EPIC Interface Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining efficient, high-quality interface programs that support system integration within the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System. This position will ensure seamless data exchange between Epic and other clinical or administrative systems through effective use of interface engines and HL7 standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement efficient and logical interface programs that meet project requirements.
• Perform detailed analysis of interface-related business and system requirements for new or modified requests.
• Evaluate business processes and requirements to propose effective solutions and provide accurate development estimates.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned interfaces, coordinating analysis calls and maintaining business requirements documentation.
• Configure and build interface code, perform system testing and validation, and document all related changes.
• Troubleshoot production and testing interface issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective solutions.
• Generate and analyze interface error code frequency reports; propose resolutions to recurring issues.
• Create and maintain mapping documents for HL7 fields and sub-fields, consolidating Epic system values and external system values.
• Collaborate with technical and clinical teams to ensure that application functionality and workflow needs are effectively addressed.
• Ensure compliance with interface development standards, security protocols, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of programming experience ; a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Technical Skills:
• • Strong understanding of HL7 standards and interface engine technologies .
  • Proven experience in Epic Interface development and Epic Bridges or related modules.
  • Proficiency in developing and documenting interface specifications and mapping documents.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving interface issues.
• Soft Skills:
• • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities.
