Job Description

Our client, a leader in precision manufacturing in Green Bay, WI, is seeking a Machine Grinder who will be responsible for setting up and operating precision grinding machines to produce high-quality, close-tolerance parts and components. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret complex blueprints.

Job Title: Machinist - Grinder

Location: Hobart, WI

Pay Range: $20.00 - $30.00 + (depending on experience)

Shift: 1st Shift (M - F, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm)

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate a variety of grinding machines to produce precision parts.
• Select and install appropriate grinding wheels, fixtures, and tooling based on material and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to determine machining requirements.
• Monitor the grinding process, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished parts for defects, dimensions, and surface finish using precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain required tolerances and surface finishes on all parts produced.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Performs other related duties as required to support the goals and objectives of the department/organization.

• Software/computer programs used: Epicor (ERP system) and Microsoft Outlook
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Strong understanding of grinding principles, materials, and tooling selection.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality orientation.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer skills

• No minimum education required; technical or trade school certification in machining preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating grinding machines in a precision manufacturing environment (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Internal training: Yellow Dot, overhead crane, and forklift
