Join Our Team as a Medical Assistant!

About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated Medical Assistants to provide exceptional patient care in urgent care, occupational health, and workers' compensation environments. In this role, you will conduct initial evaluations, perform x-ray tests, and prepare patients for provider evaluations by documenting histories, vital signs, and more, while ensuring the appropriate level of care is provided.

Key Responsibilities:
The following duties and responsibilities reflect the expectations of this position, but additional tasks may be assigned:

• Welcome patients warmly and communicate clearly about wait times and next steps.
• Address patient concerns effectively and escalate urgent issues as necessary.
• Ensure prompt follow-up on lab and x-ray results; manage follow-up calls with urgency.
• Assist front desk staff with check-in and check-out processes as needed.
• Document vital signs, patient histories, medications, allergies, and other crucial information accurately.
• Provide support during patient transfers and clinical procedures under provider supervision.
• Perform x-ray imaging with a focus on patient safety and proper technique.
• Maintain organized, well-stocked, and clean exam rooms while completing required documentation.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality standards.
• Conduct phlebotomy, administer injections, and perform other clinical procedures as trained.

Work Schedule:
Full-time medical assistants work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, including 12-hour shifts during weekdays and every other weekend. Our PRN team is scheduled on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications:
To be eligible for this role, you should have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (preferred).
• Experience performing x-rays (desirable).
