Job Details:

• Must start on 12/15/2025
\n• 2 years of experience required in medical surgical telemetry
\n• Travel experience preferred
\n• Patient ratio experience of 5-6 patients required
\n• Care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
\n• 38-bed unit with daily census of 35 patients
\n• 12 hours of orientation provided
\n• Self-scheduling system
\n• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule (Saturday/Sunday)
\n• One pre-approved time off allowed
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
\n• Charting system experience required (Altera experience preferred)
\n• Community hospital experience preferred
\n• Must complete needed lab items within 72 hours of accepting offer
\n• Must be at least 150 miles from facility location
\n• Previous permanent staff must be gone 1 year to return as traveler
\n• Facility conducts mandatory drug screen upon arrival including marijuana testing
\n• Hard documents due Thursday 2pm CST prior to start date
\n• Complete non-billable modules during orientation (average 6-8 hours)
\n• Skills include: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tubes, CVA care, CPAP/BIPAP, feeding tube management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, PCA, PICC line management, post cardiac procedures, hemodialysis management, wound care, and rapid response team utilization

This healthcare facility operates a 38-bed medical surgical telemetry unit providing comprehensive care for patients with diverse medical conditions. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and employs modern technology and evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a supportive healthcare environment.
